Life’s A Beach

Share:

June 13th, 2017

The sound of the ocean and the smell of the sea. Nothing captures the essence of summertime like a day spent at the beach. But if you’re like us, the best part of the day often comes towards the end—when the sun slowly begins to set and an epic beach feast starts to take shape.

After a day of swimming, surfing and sand castling, there’s little that is more delightful than relaxing beachside with an array of freshly prepared tacos. But there’s a subtle difference between traditional street tacos and those prepared mere feet from the crashing waves. The fish just seems to taste fresher. The cocktails taste better. And the view? Well, no explanation needed.

There’s an easiness to post-beach dining, especially when you’re amongst friends and family. And with all the fresh air, it’s easy to build up a hearty appetite after a day spent in the surf and sand. We love pairing fish tacos with a side of fresh pico de gallo, and some handmade guacamole. But no feast is complete without a refreshing cocktail. Our Crafted Paloma—made with our Plata tequila, a squeeze of fresh grapefruit, a touch of lemon juice, a hint of agave and pinch of salt—is all you need to round out an exquisite ocean side feast.

Eventually the sun will dip below the horizon. Someone will scoop up the last of the guacamole. And one fortunate soul will enjoy the ever-so-coveted last taco. But if you’re lucky, the drinks will keep flowing, along with the conversation and camaraderie inherent in any causal beach gathering. And its moments like these that make us wish summertime will never end.
